Photovoltaic installations on flat roofs frequently need to be secured against windload without penetrating the roof covering. Gravel-filled troughs allow a secure installation. Framed and unframed photovoltaic modules can be used in comination with one of the many mouting systems. Of course sufficient residual load-bearing capacitiy of the roof structure is required.
